Unfortunately, a few issues tarnished the experience. While the room was comfortable, privacy was compromised as it was situated right beside the main walkway and laundry. the restaurant experience on a Monday night was less than stellar, with disappointing food—like the limp salad and not-so-great fish and chips—that could have vastly improved if the menu had more variety. There's also the matter of the noisy extractor fan in the bathroom and lack of space for hanging items, which detracts from the overall comfort.

Really enjoyed my stay at The Martinborough! The Garden Suite was spacious and spotless. The beds were super comfy. Loved the beautiful gardens and the delicious meal we had at the restaurant, though the bar’s music was a bit noisy in the afternoons. a lovely experience!

Loved the cozy vibes and the super comfy room. the air conditioning was a lifesaver in the summer heat! I really enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden area with some pretty sun loungers and a small water feature nearby. Just a heads up, the bathroom doors didn’t provide much privacy, but everything else was spot-on. 😊

Had a great time with friends! We enjoyed the cozy bar and restaurant downstairs. the food was delicious, especially the steak. The location was perfect for visiting nearby wineries and hiking the stunning Patuna Chasm. The staff were really friendly and accommodating.
We did have some issues with the bathroom shower, which was tricky to use due to water temperature inconsistencies.

we had a realy nice stay at the martinborough hotel. the petit suite was spacious and comfy with great amenities like a lovely bath, and the staff were super friendly. location was perfect for shops and vineyards. The little touches like ear plugs made a difference. warm and cozy vibes throughout the stay for sure. would totally come back again!
only downsides were a bit of street noise early in the morning and the bed couldve been a bit bigger.

pleasant stay with minor room concerns
I appreciated the well-maintained garden view from my room, which offered a peaceful ambiance. The staff provided attentive service, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. The restaurant's menu featured exceptional dishes, and the meal I enjoyed was fresh and flavorful.
The room felt a bit cramped and could benefit from more space.

Couples looking for nostalgia
The building has a colonial style that feels like a trip back in time! ! We enjoyed the lovely garden view from our Heritage Room, which had a peaceful vibe perfect for unwinding after a day of wine tasting.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but the experience was worth it.

The Petit Suite was comfy but a bit small. The decor was nice, and the shower had great water pressure. I did feel a bit cramped using the bathroom, though—knee to wall didn't leave much room. Still, the staff were super friendly and helpful. I appreciated the off-street parking and that it was close to wine tasting spots. a cozy stay with good vibes despite some tight spaces.

Historic charm with convenient access to wineries
We spent two wonderful nights in a lovely garden suite that was beautifully decorated and spacious, complete with a big bathroom and small kitchenette for morning coffee. The hotel is ideally located right in the heart of Martinborough, making it super easy to walk to the wineries and explore the town. While the experience was overall delightful, I would have appreciated a bit more soundproofing, especially during lively evenings.

Charming heritage building with a lovely big room! Spotless cleanliness and a delightful garden view that almost made me forget about the stairs.
But honestly, who needs sleep when your room is a parade route for hotel staff? And let’s just say my dinner could have been better if it wasn’t served on a Monday.
