Unfortunately, a few issues tarnished the experience. While the room was comfortable, privacy was compromised as it was situated right beside the main walkway and laundry. The restaurant experience on a Monday night was less than stellar, with disappointing food-like the limp salad and not-so-great fish and chips-that could have vastly improved if the menu had more variety. There's also the matter of the noisy extractor fan in the bathroom and lack of space for hanging items, which detracts from the overall comfort.

We had a REAL GOOD stay, the hotel was modern, tidy, with incredible location pressured to leave restaurant. Location: the property was near shops/cafes all within easy walking distance, the square, and wineries and excellent restaurants.

The location was fantastic and lovely in a wonderful area, right by all the terrific wineries in Martinborough as well as restaurant and bar below. I had the suite which was nicely furnished and lovely looking with a balcony.

Really enjoyed my stay at The Martinborough! The Garden Suite was spacious and spotless. The beds were super comfy. Loved the beautiful gardens and the delicious meal we had at the restaurant, though the bar’s music was a bit noisy in the afternoons. A lovely experience!

We had a very nice stay for one night.
Many things to mention - everything was neat, fantastic food, perfect views. The staff were super-friendly at all times, the rooms was large. Very central location of this authentic hotel was a bonus. Really enjoyed our coffee with goodies at Cafe Medici. Was a decent base for weekend.

Loved the cozy vibes and the super comfy room. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the summer heat! I really enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden area with some pretty sun loungers and a small water feature nearby. Just a heads up, the bathroom doors didn't provide much privacy, but everything else was spot-on. 😊

We enjoyed the cozy bar and restaurant downstairs. The food was delicious, especially the steak. The location was perfect for visiting nearby wineries and hiking the fine Patuna Chasm. The staff were really friendly and accommodating.
We did have some issues with the bathroom shower, tricky to use due to water temperature inconsistencies.

The petit suite was spacious and comfy with great amenities like a lovely bath, and the staff were super friendly. Location was perfect for shops and vineyards. The little touches like ear plugs made a difference. Warm and cozy vibes throughout the stay for sure. Would totally come back again!
only downsides were a bit of street noise early in the morning and the bed couldve been a bit bigger.

We spent three wonderful nights in the Garden Suite, clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The large bathroom featured a separate cast iron bath and shower. The vintage decor added a charming atmosphere, and the restaurant offered fantastic meals throughout our stay.
Some street noise early in the morning.

pleasant stay with minor room concerns
I appreciated the well-maintained garden view from my room with a peaceful ambiance. The staff provided attentive service. The restaurant's menu featured really good dishes, and the meal I enjoyed was fresh and flavorful.
The room felt a bit cramped and could benefit from more space.

Absolutely blown away by the stunning heritage building, cozy room, and amazing shower room. Enjoyed drinks on the verandah, delicious meals, and wine at the restaurant. Super accommodating staff, convenient parking, and perfect central location for exploring the town. LOVED the toasty warm radiators, inviting lounge with fireplace, and access to up-to-date magazines and fireplace. Despite staying in a petite room, had an excellent shower experience with abundant hot water. Appreciated the laundry service, nearby wine tasting rooms, and town cinema just minutes away. All in all, an unforgettable stay that exceeded expectations in every way!

Couples looking for nostalgia
The building has a colonial style that feels like a trip back in time! We enjoyed the lovely garden view from our Heritage Room with a peaceful vibe perfect for unwinding after a day of wine tasting.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but the experience was worth it.

The Petit Suite was comfy but a bit small. The decor was nice, and the shower had great water pressure. I did feel a bit cramped using the bathroom, though-knee to wall didn't leave much room. Still, the staff were super friendly and helpful. I appreciated the off-street parking and that it was close to wine tasting spots. A cozy stay with good vibes despite some tight spaces.

Historic charm with convenient access to wineries
We spent two wonderful nights in a lovely garden suite that was beautifully decorated and spacious, complete with a big bathroom and small kitchenette for morning coffee. The hotel is ideally located right in the heart of Martinborough. While the experience was overall good, I would have appreciated a bit more soundproofing, especially during lively evenings.
